Internet sites we use to coordinate our events
Why so many!
- Meetup is a huge social media site that brings people together to join groups unified by a common interest. The site has great features for member coordination, messaging, waitlist, group conversation, media posting, etc. We have over 800 members across all our meetup groups. Many of those folks have a passing interest and eventually come out and fly. Posting our events on meetup advertises our activity to the larger community of drone enthusiasts in addition to the core FPV Racers. Think of our meetup groups as our outreach to help grow the sport. In fact, the family of Safety Third Racing meetup groups is one of the largest FPV Racing Meetup communities in the world! We need to keep those meetups active so we continue to introduce FPV racing to everyone in the Tri State Area that want so to learn, build, and race!
- MultiGP is a kind of like a highly customized version of meetup just for FPV Racing. It has excellent features very specific to setting up FPV races, pilots, heats, scoring for events. Since we are one of the largest MultiGP groups, we use this site to register our pilots and award MultiGP points that are shared within the whole MGP community.
- Facebook - Hey enough said! Sometimes we post events on FB that link to the Meetup/MPG events to help advertize the events.
- Slack - If you are not on our slack, you are really missing out. Ask for an invite!
